The Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 is a premier international sporting platform for athletes with intellectual disabilities, bringing together participants from 176 nations. Held across 20+ venues in Berlin, with arrivals and departures at five airports across Germany, the nine-day event featured competitions, ceremonies, and cultural activities.
Evento managed pre-arrival coordination and credentialing, ensuring a smooth, secure, and efficient experience for athletes, delegations, and workforce.
Evento managed delegation arrivals and departures at multiple airports, while athlete check-in across all competition venues ensured fast, organised, and secure credentialing throughout the Games.
Daily check-in for workforce members was implemented according to assigned shifts, and meal provisioning was tracked efficiently across venues to support athletes and staff throughout the event.
Mobile scanners validated credentials for athletes, delegations, and workforce, while live integrations with multiple systems ensured real-time monitoring of attendance, participation, and venue access.
Organisers were supported with a live dashboard and customised reporting tools, providing real-time insights into athlete participation, workforce attendance, and operational efficiency, helping maintain high safety and security standards.
Athletes, delegations, and officials travelled from around the world, creating a truly international and inclusive sporting environment that showcased the spirit of the Special Olympics.
